BackNew Technologies Andrea Paradigm Shift
A paradigm shift is the change of new technology and developments. This shift can be seen mostly between generations as the technology that is "familiar" to them; different changes depending on the time they have been born and this affects their understanding and how much they can get used to these new developments and technology. Technology that is already there when people are born, its just natural to them to learn how to use and live with it, unlike the people who see the release or development of a new type of technical machine these people are most likely to have a harder time trying to incorporate this into their lifes.
At the beggining of the twentieth century, three-quarters of American jobs were in agriculture or manufacturing. By the end of the century, three-quarters of American jobs were in the service sector. We have shifted from an industrial economy to an information-based economy. (From the book Tomorrow's Technology And You)
Some examples are the agricultural revolution, at first people where hunters, and therefore nomads so when the agricultura was discovered and they could harvest their own food they had to stay in a same place. In the Industrial revolution people invented tools/machinery, like seedrills, ploughs, etc. to make their lifes easier and to have less work to do.
These tools afterwards became heavy machinery that could be controlled by just only one person while doing the job that before with the tool many people did, this was called the Industrial revolution. After this people started to move to towns and cities as transporting was easier for them to go to their crops and harvest them, then the production factories where created and and doing many products was easier as factories have a lot of machiner and it is easier and cheaper to create a product, because of this the prices where no high and people could afford them, also this helped with the economical situation as selly and buying these products made the economy run and therefore people had money to invest in projects that could help the development and start of a Technological revolution.
The Technological revolution is an event that is affecting every single type of person in the world, as tecnology is now used for almost everything that we see in out daily lifes for example in a doctors office, in the supermarket and even in our own bathroom. Each day more technology is being invented and developed and this is making our lifes easier and with less work. What will the future await for us? Fly cars maybe, artifical intelligence to serve us. That is something that only time can show.
